The third season received critical acclaim. On Rotten Tomatoes, the 3rd season has a rating of 98%, based on 47 reviews, with an average rating of 8.35/ten. The site'southward critical consensus reads, "Charming and curious as e'er, The Expert Place remains a delightfully insightful brilliant spot on the television landscape."[27] On Metacritic, the third flavour has a score of 96 out of 100, based on reviews from v critics, indicating "universal acclaim".[28]

For the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, the series received four nominations–for Outstanding One-act Series, Ted Danson for Outstanding Lead Actor in a One-act Serial, Maya Rudolph for Outstanding Invitee Actress in a One-act Series, and Josh Siegal and Dylan Morgan for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the episode "Janet(due south)".[29] "Janet(s)" too won the Hugo Award for All-time Dramatic Presentation, Short Form,[thirty] with the episode "Jeremy Bearimy" as well nominated.[31] Several critics expressed dismay that D'Arcy Carden was not nominated for her work in the episode "Janet(due south)", where she portrayed most of the main characters.[32] [33]
