May 2011: BMW Group Canada sales up 17.6%
BMW Group Canada (BMW and MINI brands combined) reported 3,366 retails for May 2011, an increase of 17.six per cent over May 2010. Potent sales of its five Series, half-dozen Series and X3 models, and the recent introduction of the all-new BMW X1 helped spur the strong results.
BMW Brand Sales.
The BMW brand reported a record 2,813 sales in May, an increase of 19.1 per cent over the same calendar month terminal year. Year-to-engagement sales of 10,942 units represent an increase of nine.ix per cent compared to the same catamenia last year. BMW set new best-ever records for the month of May and for its year-to-date effigy.
MINI Brand Sales.
MINI reported sales of 553 units in May, an increment of over 10 per cent compared to May 2010. On the year, MINI has sold 1,788 units, an increase of nearly xiii per cent over the same period last year.
Motorrad Brand Sales.
BMW Motorrad Canada reported sales of 275 units in May, a decrease of eight.three per cent compared to May 2010. Year-to-date, 760 units have been retailed, a decrease of 20% over the aforementioned period last yr.
Pre-Endemic Sales.
BMW Pre-Owned reported 1,128 units retailed in May, representing an increase of 4.1 per cent over May 2010. Year-to-date, a full of v,261 units take been sold, an increase of 10.1 per cent compared to the same period last twelvemonth
On the MINI side, 174 pre-endemic units were sold, an increase of 21.7 per cent over May 2010. On the year, 987 MINI pre-owned units take been sold, an increase of 89.1 per cent over the aforementioned catamenia last year.
